How to run your website

Plain English for OWNER. Save live when the Owner API is up. Matches the Owner manual.

1. Sign in

1. Bookmark /admin/login.html.
2. Enter your passphrase → Continue.
3. Default starter (change soon): BelowTheShow-Owner
4. Sign-in also stores an Owner API token (hash only) so Save live works.

Not bank-grade yet. Production: Cloudflare Access in front of /admin/. Also set Pages secret OWNER_PASS_SHA256 to the same hash as owner.config.json.

2. Is my site OK?

Home shows LIVE, ON HOLD, or STOPPED, plus player count, rankings tip, Wire, and People.

3. People / Users

1. Top strip → People (also a big Home card).
2. Live registry table: email, name, plan, logins, last login, engagements, last active, avatar.
3. Search / sort / export CSV. Open Detail for page buckets and actions.
4. Public users register via Account; login counts and engagement update on www automatically.
5. Optional: expand “This browser” to push older local-only staging accounts live.

4. Subscribers

Honest empty until GO PAID + Stripe. No invented customers.

5. Publish / pause — Save live

1. See status.
2. Choose: public · hold · emergency stop.
3. Tap Save live — writes through the Owner API (KV on www, or the local file API on the box).
4. Backup: copy note / download patch only if the API is down.

Zip-only dashboard uploads do not attach Functions. Use wrangler pages deploy with functions/ + KV binding BTS_KV. See site/staging/FUNCTIONS.md.

6. Rankings & player count

Consensus tip and census / Wire samples. Rebuilds stay with Joshua.

7. Domain & hosting

Wix registrar · Cloudflare Pages host · Access later for /admin.

8. Ship a change

• Status toggles: Save live (no full redeploy once Functions are bound).
• HTML/CSS/JS: still need a Pages deploy (prefer wrangler so Functions ship).

9. Who does what

• You — Owner Console, Save live, People, checklists.
• Cloudflare — host, DNS, Functions, KV, Access.
• Stripe — after GO PAID.
• Joshua — binds KV/secrets, rebuilds, deploys when needed.

Live write APIs

Primary action everywhere is Save live. Bearer token from Owner sign-in.

• GET/PUT /api/admin/status — publish / pause / kill

• GET/PUT /api/admin/subscribers — paid seats + GO PAID request
• GET /api/admin/health — live write probe

Offline fallback (download / ask Joshua) only if the API is unreachable — temporary until KV is bound.
